Production & packing conveyor lines

Link production, inspection and packing with the right support surface, transfer arrangement and buffer positions for your goods.

Belt conveyors, Equipment overview
Equipment illustration

A packing line works as a chain of handovers: goods leave production, reach an inspection or packing position and move to dispatch. Base shape and stability determine the support surface. Plan stoppages, access and buffers around the actual workstation cycle rather than selecting every conveyor at the same nominal speed.

How the goods move

  1. Support the product

Use a continuous surface where the product base needs support across the route.

  2. Connect workstations

Move suitable rigid-base cartons between packing, inspection and downstream operations.

  3. Change the route

Introduce a right-angle transfer where the layout branches or turns between machines.

Choose the right arrangement

Belt, driven rollers or gravity?

A belt supports smaller or less stable bases. Driven rollers suit selected rigid cartons and controlled movement. Gravity rollers can serve a manual packing handover when slope, stopping and operator reach are suitable.

Define the environment

Packaged food, household appliances and general cartons have different contact, cleaning and protection requirements. Specify exposed surfaces, moisture and cleaning products before selecting materials.

Prepare your project brief

  • Product base, packaging state, dimensions and weight
  • Machine handover heights, cycle times and planned buffer positions
  • Contact materials, cleaning regime and operator access

Agree the complete project scope

The proposal defines the goods, layout, controls, software interfaces, guarding, delivery and commissioning responsibilities. Capacity and acceptance criteria are specified for the selected configuration.

Planning questions

Can the line connect to an existing packer?

Share the packer drawing, entry and exit heights, cycle signals and stop conditions. Mechanical fit and control handshakes both need to be defined.
